R.L. Young Student Wins Big at the 15th Annual Black Youth Achievement Banquet

Sunday, February 24, 2008 Ja'Korbein Porter, a 5th grader at Raymond L. Young made both her family and school proud with her winning biography entitled, "Biography of Ja'Korbien Porter Keith." The prizes, including one hundred and twenty-five dollars, a trophy, and a certificate, were well earned.

When asked about her plans for the money, she replied, "Of course, it is going in my college fund!" What a smart girl!
