Many library books are overdue. Books not returned will need to be paid to get report cards in January.

2014 State Superintendent’s Visual Arts Exhibit
Important Announcement
We ARE EXTENDING THE ART
SHOW COMPETITION UNTIL DEC. 10.
Please allow your child to participate.
All K-6 students are invited
to participate in the 2014 State Superintendent’s Visual Arts Exhibit.
Facts to
Know:
There are 2 categories:
1. Category 1-2: dimensional
work, which may include painting of any medium,
drawing of any medium, or mixed
media.
2. Category 2: Photography or
computer-generated work.
Size: maximum 26 X 30 inches including a mat (will be provided if
you win)
No framed, stretched canvas,
or heavy surface will be allowed or displayed.
The artwork will be displayed
using Velcro and must be light and easily handled.
Student must put name,
grade, and teacher’s name on the back
of the artwork.
Artwork is due to your
classroom teacher by December 10, 2014 by 8:00 a.m..
Teachers please
send all artwork to the office on the morning of December 10th.

*Is your child frequently tardy?
*Does your child complete homework?
*Do you and your child prepare for tests?
*Does your child know school is important to you, too?
*Does your child bring the necessary supplies to class?
*Do you visit the school for an occasional lunch date or to speak to the teacher?
*Is your child frequently absent from school, but could have probably attended?
The problem may not be his/her ability to learn, but obstacles that can be easily removed.

PE Star Student of the Week 10-31-14
This week’s star student is a very helpful student. He is willing to help his classmates when they are in need. One of his classmates dropped an item early in the week and he was willing to stop what he was doing to help. He is always kind to everyone and all of his classmates respect him. Zora Ellis Archery Team Try Outs

Archery Team tryouts this year for Zora Ellis (includes grades 6th, 7th, and 8th) will be next Monday, Nov. 10th and Wednesday, Nov. 12th here at Zora Ellis from 3:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Only 6th grade students will be shooting and trying out on these days.
After tryouts are
over, Coach Ward will group sixth grade scores in with the 7th and 8th graders to
determine who makes the team.

A pink letter with the Medal Ceremony details should be received, too. Please sign the bottom and return to the teacher the next day.
