February Inservice-450 Years of Teaching Experience and Still Growing Professionally

Raymond L. Young teachers spent a recent professional development day learning from EACH OTHER. Young's reading coach, Mrs. Nunn assigned a chapter to each grade level from the book, "Locating and Correcting Reading Difficulties."

Throughout the morning all grade levels participated, even Coach Stephens, as different reading difficulties were presented and discussed by various teachers. The presentations consisted of hands-on activities, powerpoint presentations, laughter, and appreciation for the many years of teaching experience held by the faculty. Young teachers have their own unique style for sharing knowledge, but one thing is clear, they are dedicated to helping students learn to read!

Sharing a good breakfast set the tone for the day!
