| Hayden Birch and his family donated fourteen books to all second grade students at R. L. Young in memory of his aunt, Pam Riley, who taught second grade in Talladega for many years. |

| R. L. Young Junior Beta Club members selected the Talladega Animal Shelter as a project. We had such an outpouring of support from our students for the pets in need in our area. |
