The theme for R. L. Young's table was easy...a birthday party! The school will turn 80 years old in 2009. The table was complete with a birthday banner "Celebrating 80 Years of Excellence", birthday cake, slideshow, and presents (high test scores, active PTO and parent involvement, inviting campus, highly qualified faculty and staff, great students, and community support). We also had balloons and our very own clown (THANKS, HOPE T. ALLEN).
Many community agencies were represented at the Extravaganza:
Regional Dental Center
TCS Wellness Program
Talladega Public Library
Dolly Parton Imagination Library
First Family Services
HIPPY Program
Smoke Free Talladega
Mirror Image Program
TCS Nurses
CACC

Thanks to all who participated and helped with the Extravaganza.

Mrs. Thomas,
I know the time demands of the principalship are great. To be able to take on a project of this magnitude in addition to doing all that you do at your school is to be commended. This is an event that reached out to every family regardless of the school they attend. Thanks for what you do to keep not only your school, but the entire district, moving forward.
This is a great post! Our clown was precious! The table looks good, too. I didn't see a table that looked better than the others..all looked good and were examples of hard work because they care.
