Ok, ok! I know I preach all year long for students to read...read...read! But they must know it is also my passion to lose myself in a great book or even better yet, a series of books during the summer. Here is what I am reading this summer:
If you have a reluctant reader, remember if you can get them "hooked" into a series with familiar characters, settings, plots, it will help you tremendously. Berenstain Bears, Boxcar Series, and Little Critters books were some of my own children's favorites.
Take a trip to the public library, let them browse the shelves, and snuggle up. It will be time well spent. If they want you to read, that is fine. If they will help you with some of the pages, that is great, too. Reading should be enjoyable. Half the battle is finding the right book! Happy reading...

Young has such a talented and caring group of teachers and staff. We (the Wilsons) will miss each and every one of you dearly. Thanks for a great 3 1/2 years!
