What Happens When the Students Leave?

Ever wonder what happens at R. L. Young when the students leave for the summer? Well, I can tell you it is a lonely place. Luckily there is plenty to do to prepare for the new school year.

Just a few things happening:
Ceiling tiles are being replaced in the lunchroom
All carpets are being cleaned
Halls and classrooms with tile are being stripped, waxed, and polished
Shrubbery trimmed and flowers watered (have to protect Ms. Diane's masterpieces!)
Repairs being made inside classrooms
Doors on the sides of the auditorium are being rebuilt

Surprises Coming to R. L. Young
AR Kickout Planning in the Works...Theme: ALL AMERICAN READER
Teachers will be receiving something for their rooms
 about the COMMON CORE CURRICULUM
New GOOD CITIZEN luncheon items ordered
Continuous Improvement Plan Ideas Discussed and Ready
Tailgate Party being planned in conjunction with Meet and Greet Aug. 16

Stay tuned for updates. Busy summer and big plans for the upcoming
BEST SCHOOL YEAR EVER!
