Feliz Navidad!

Mrs. Armstrong's 2nd graders have been studying "Christmas Around the World... It's Traditional!" They visited Mexico today through books, internet and art. We were treated this afternoon to a game of Mexican Bingo, taught and instructed by Idette Ivy Yates, cousin to Samantha in Mrs. Armstrong's class. She called out the word in Spanish, then called out the word in English. The second time around, the students echoed her Spanish and the third time, it was Spanish only. We had a ball and the students actually did pretty well with their Spanish-speaking visitor. Thanks, Mrs. Lamberth, for sharing your family with us!
