Today the school gathered into our beloved auditorium for a good ole' fashioned sing-a-long...a tradition at R. L. Young. Mrs. Nunn and Mrs. Wilson led the singing while a special guest pianist, Lou Ann Allen accompanied us on the piano. Dr. Buck was on hand to charm us with his beautiful flute playing.
There were funny songs, quiet, soft songs, a student solo (thanks, Mi'Asia B.) and even a song sung by faculty and staff members as a special gift to the children (I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas). You can listen by clicking

The most important thing to me was that before the rush of the busy holidays, we were able to spend an hour together enjoying friendships. This is what Christmas is all about!
Merry Christmas R. L. Young. Thank you for my beautiful card with all of your names signed. It is a joy to be with you every day. Great things are in store for our school in 2010!
