Snowmen and Women at YOUNG

Often our main building has upper grade students that complete projects, but our kindergarten students do projects, too. With the help of parents, these youngsters researched their favorite state and made their snow woman/man represent it.
When talking with Madison, Landry, Tanner, Laquez, and Carlee from Mrs. Nabor's class, they shared the ideas for their projects with pride. Here are some quotes from the kids:
Laquez- "We are studying winter, so each person made a snowman or snowwoman at home."
Tanner -"We could pick anything we wanted. Did not have to be a vacation."

Landry-"It was nice to work with our parents."

Carlee- "We wrote words on it, used stuff to put on it and hot glue."
It is wonderful when school and home connect because these types of activities become the memories children have forever. This teamwork, especially early in an child's education, builds a strong support for the student. In fact, this is the most important thing we have in common....our children.
"Great Job, kindergarten students AND parents!"
