Register for Kindergarten Thursday, April 16th!

Kindergarten registration is always an exciting time for R. L. Young. We are happy to welcome our new students and assist parents in making this transition. The registration will open at 8:30 a.m. and end at 2:00 p.m. Parents may park in the front and enter by the office. The registration will take place in the auditorium located in the main building. 

Parents should bring the following documents:
*Certified Birth Certificate (must have state seal)
  Child must be 5 years old on or before Sept. 1
*Social Security card
*Blue Slip (shot record)
*Proof of Residence
  EXAMPLE: current utility bill (power, water, or gas bill) with    
  name and address

Driver's license, cable bills, telephone bills, or personal checks are not acceptable. 

At R. L. Young, a second day will be scheduled for new kinders to come and take a look around. Teachers will do a simple assessment with each child and take individual photos. Students and their parents will receive a tour provided by the school's 6th grade Ambassadors. 

Parents will be asked to sign up for a time slot for this day during registration. We think it is important to give children an opportunity to look around, meet the two teachers, and get excited about this fall!
