Special Guests and Recognition at Honor Roll Assembly

R. L. Young was happy to receive an award from the Alabama Governor's Commission on Physical Fitness. The Commission was represented by Acting Executive Director, Phil Holmes from Montgomery. He presented the plaque to Physical Education Coach, Chris Stephens.

Also, attending the assembly today were representatives from various entities who help make the purchase of new stage curtains possible. We appreciate Dr. Donna King, Talladega City School Superintendent, Chad Thomas with First National Bank of Talladega, Mrs. Marlene Moore, former student and avid supporter of R.L. Young, Mr. & Mrs. Peters, owners of Peters Enterprises, LLC, and Larry Barton, another former student of the school and Mayor of Talladega.

The assembly included recognition of A, A/B Honor Roll, A in conduct, Perfect attendance for the nine week period, and most improved/I improved my grades. Students who sold Tumblers to raise stage curtain money were recognized with a certificate. Here is a list of those participants:
