EARTH DAY COMING!

R. L. Young will be celebrating Earth Day on April 22. Each grade level has been assigned a section of the campus to spruce up because children learn to take pride when they are involved, no matter what their size or age.
Marvins has donated 4 flowering bushes (THANK YOU). We are currently seeking the following items:

  • bulbs to plant around campus
  • annual plants (that come back each year)
  •  flowering tree to plant
  • monkey grass for the bus loading area (mud rises on sidewalk at bus stop)
  • brooms to borrow for our clean up day
  • volunteers to assist teachers and students with various outside projects
  • bird bath
If outside work is something you enjoy, please contact your child's teacher to see how you can help. If you have connections with a store that sells plants and flowers, consider asking for a donation. Things planted today will remain for years to come. We want to continue to improve our school inside and out!
