NEWS from the UPPER GRADE ACADEMY
The Upper Grade Academy recently had a writing competition. They had to write an essay about a person that they thought had a “Heart of Gold.” Tommy W. was the winner & received a 5 pound Hershey bar. Several other essays were chosen as alternates. A special thanks to Hope B. Allen for judging the writings and donating the wonderful prizes.
The sixth grade students recently participated in a poster contest for Life Skills Class sponsored by First Family Services. Their theme was “Through with Chew.” The overall winner in Talladega was Wesley B. We had a tie for 2nd place with Alayna P. & Ja’Karle K. Way to go, 6th graders!
