Buck for Bark....Earth Day 2011

Earth Day at R. L. Young was different this year. We took a look around the campus and really liked what we saw. The flowers and plants put in last year survived the cold and snow. There was one thing missing....Bark!

On Friday, April 22, our students were invited to participate in a "Buck for Bark" event. Each child bringing just one dollar was invited to help Mrs. Diane distribute bark around the landscaping. The children had fun and the help was most appreciated.

Mrs. Diane has a way with flowers AND children. They looked forward to the time they could spend outside with this special lady. Thanks, Mrs. Diane for all that you do for our school on the outside AND inside. R. L. Young is looking good!

Thanks to all of our parents for supporting this effort and to students for their willingness to get a little dirty!
